Dinner in South Beach with our Oz friends

On our second day in South Beach, we woke up and had a nice poolside breakfast buffet at our Bentley Hilton Hotel in South Beach.  It was nice sitting by the pool and sipping coffee under the clear blue skies with a slight breeze.IMG_7414 IMG_7418 IMG_7417

After finishing breakfast we took a walk around South Pointe and had a relaxing day.  IMG_7454

DOS went shopping down around the Lincoln Mall area, while I lounged around the hotel having a lazy day for a change.  There was a large and fancy wedding taking place at the hotel, and they arrived in style in this car. IMG_7421

Around 6pm our friends Manuela and Jenny met us at our hotel.  We had some pre-dinner vino in our room, and caught up like we just saw them yesterday, although it’s been a couple years.  I had met Jenny and her boyfriend years ago on one of my cruises in Australia; 1998 I believe, and we’ve stayed in touch throughout the years.  I met Manuela thru Jenny some years ago when they were both over visiting.  Both working in the travel industry, we have so much in common.

After chatting and some vino, we headed out, and walked the short few blocks to Fogo de Chao for dinner. We had a wonderful night out, and ended it with a nightcap back at our hotel, before they took a cab back to their hotel at the Ritz Carlton.

‘Twas a wonderful night seeing our Australian friends in South Beach!
