There are a couple galleries of our trip to Easter Island. While there is some overlap in photos, this one focuses primarily on the resort we stayed at for four nights: The Hangar Eco Village and Spa resort. This resort was nothing short of spectacular and was build not only eco-friendly, but to mimic the living caves of an earlier time on the island.
We chose the all-inclusive option which include buffet breakfast, and ala carte menu for lunch and dinner. Soft drinks, beer, and Chilean wines were also included with lunch and dinner, as well as a nightly sunset cocktail before dinner.
We also chose several of the tours they had mapped out for us, which in our small group of six was so personalized and uncrowded it felt like a private tour. Our guide was bilingual as most of the guests were Spanish-speaking, but we all understood each other fine with our guide’s assistance.
Truly a world- class resort and spa (although we didn’t use the spa) it was conveniently located near town (walking distance) and as the resort meets you and the airport (with a lei!) as well as takes you on departure, and on the tours, there is no need for a rental car.
This was one of if not the best resorts on the island, with warm friendly staff, comfortable and spacious accommodations, and fine dining as well. Click below for the gallery.
