The Traveling Steve's

Saturday night fun in Florida

Had a great weekend at home in Orlando this past weekend.  On Saturday,  we walked to our neighbors Buddy and Karen’s house on IMG_2745IMG_2735 for a cookout with their friends and family visiting.  It was so interesting meeting Karen’s family after hearing so much about them.  Everyone had great stories to tell, and we had plenty of food, drink, games, and laughter.

It was a bit cool in Orlando, but Buddy had the fire-pit and fountain going, so it felt quite nice.  I love their backyard – he has a huge granite table with built in fridge underneath, a wet bar adjacent, and huge outdoor grille. It has the feeling of a Napa Valley winery grounds with the vines, fire-pit, overhead lighting etc.

After dinner, the lively crowd played a game of Left-Right-Center,

Followed by the more skillful game of Jenga, which was new to us.  It takes skill, patience, and leverage not to knock the blocks down.  With a couple engineers in the mix, they helped Dos and I pick the best blocks to move.  Fortunately, neither of us knocked the blocks down!
