Thanksgiving in Roanoke

Just a short post while I relax a bit from the flight and before we have our late afternoon Thanksgiving dinner.  I flew up to Roanoke, Virginia this morning for the Thanksgiving Holidays.  It was actually nice flying this morning (MCO to CLT, connecting to ROA) as it was a holiday and pretty slow at the airports and less full flights.  I had an hour layover in Charlotte, and watched some of the Macy’s Day Parade from the Admiral’s Club.

It’s an absolutely beautiful day here in Roanoke, and feels almost like Spring, but with the Fall colors adorning the mountains you know that it’s Autumn.

Let us rejoice and be thankful for all that we have.  On this day of Thanksgiving, there are so many opportunities to pause, reflect, and  thank God for our many blessings.  I wish everyone reading this a very Happy Thanksgiving, and a peaceful and meaningful time spent with friends and family.
