Training week in San Diego

What a hectic week this has been! I have been in Temecula, California all week for some intense network training; the instructor called it a ‘boot camp’ type class, and he was right! I have pretty much done nothing this week other than going to class in the daytime, and studying at nights, although I did have one night out with some co-workers, and a relaxing last night after the class was over.

Right now it’s 5:30am and I’m in the Airspace Lounge in San Diego waiting for my 6:30am flight. My eyes are a bit bloodshot from studying so much and being up late, so I’m giving my eyes a break from my contacts and wearing my glasses on the way home.

So much to catch up on, and so little time to write! I’ll try and write some from the plane if the wifi is good, but for now I will be flying home to Orlando all day; first from San Diego to DFW at 6:30am on an AA 321.

I’m meeting Steve (DOS) in DFW, as he’s on his return leg of his around-the-world flying adventure; partly for fun, and mostly to re-quality early in the year for Executive Platinum. He left a week ago Friday, while I left for San Diego on Sunday. We’ve both been gone for a week now and are ready to get home. DOS spent last night in DFW Airport, while I did in San Diego.  I stayed at the Hilton San Diego and saw the most beautiful sunset over the harbor last evening just as I was checking in.

I’ll finish this short post for now, and hopefully can continue later on inflight; if not when I get home. It’s already mid-2017 and it’s turning out to be a really busy year so far. Time marches on, and waits for no one! So true!
