Hi and welcome to our site! Yes, we are both named Steve, and love to travel! We are a happily partnered and professional couple of 18+ years who live in the Orlando, Florida area. We have a lot of combined travel experiences, and our goal is to show you the fun side of travel, from fun day trips, to cruises, to exotic destinations.
While neither one of us works for Disney, we are HUGE Disney fans as well, so we have lots of content on Disney World as well as the local Orlando area, where we sometimes take weekend “Stay-cations”.
To keep things simple, I do most of the posting and am sometimes nicknamed Steve UNO to differentiate from Steve DOS, but together we’re The Steve’s. In the photo above Steve UNO is on the left, and Steve DOS is on the right.
We have both traveled for work throughout our careers, as well as extensively for leisure. Steve DOS retired a few years ago as a Captain for a major airline, flying world-wide, but mostly Japan towards the end of his career on the Boeing 777.
I (UNO) recently retired from a large communication company doing implementations of 9-1-1 Public Safety equipment all over the US, with occasional international travel. I started this blog several years ago due to the countless experiences I/We’ve had over the years, and would like to share them with others, and any tips we might have discovered along the way. When I first started traveling for work in 1986 I kept a hand-written journal of my experiences, never realizing one day the internet and a blog would become reality! This blog is effectively my modern day journal in digital form with lots of photos.
This site focuses mostly on the leisure (FUN!) side of travel, but prior to my retirement in December 2019, I also shared my business travel tips, frustrations, and maybe a bit of serendipity as I encountered it. I always felt like my life was a “Seinfeld episode” and co-workers and friends used to call me “The Accidental Tourist”, as something would always happen, usually funny or “could only happen to you Steve”!
I’ve taken thousands of photos over the years, although DOS never really did in spite of him traveling for a longer length of time than me, so I’m happy to share some of my early travel memories as well as our joint travels over the last 18+ years. I also have a few travel videos I have made (all amateur of course!), and just for fun of some of the trips, ocean cruises, and river cruises we’ve taken together, which are posted on Youtube under Like2cruz. (How appropriate! LOL!)

the same outcome.
Thank you for noticing. I was in Easter Island last week when I was using my iPad to post instead of my usual MacBook. It was a bit cumbersome using the iPad vs the Macbook and as you could see didn’t post the photos correctly. I think I’ve updated them all the correct way now, but could be some I missed. Thanks for your comments. Easter Island is gorgeous and I’m in the process of upload a full gallery of pics.

Do you know if you can extend the trip on the Ha Long Bay junk? I am a travel agent with clients travelling on AMA Waterways. They want to extend the Ha Long Bay 1-2 nights. It is not offered by AMA, and I am wondering if they can do it on their own?
I would think not, only because the Ha Long Bay is in the middle of the cruise tour, and AMA and others charter the boat (actually 3 boats due to the group size) for the junk sailing. They could do Ha Long Bay prior to or after the AMA cruise/tours on their own provided they get their own transportation there. We did notice on the ‘junk boat’ we used they have 1 and 2 day sailings, you could try and contact the line to see when they have openings or not being chartered. www.indochinasails.com
